Correct output for 'no pole piece' Ventures MkV pickups

Oh great oracle of Mosrite knowledge....

Does anyone know what the correct output level of the smooth, non-visible-pole-piece pickups from a MkV should be?

I managed to find a pair online (pricey but whatever...) for the MkV project I have on the go but the output levels are listed around the 7.5K - 8K mark. My Brass Rail has similar looking pickups (though I'm aware that means very little) that chuck out around 15K or something stupid like that.

Basically - I'm just wondering if the ones for sale are correct and functioning correctly with such low (for Mosrite) output levels.

Thanks in advance folks,
Chris

The Mark V or later Ventures II smooth pickups were not as hot as the earlier pickups such as the early Ventures models and later pickups as well. Also the brass rail pickups are not the same animal so you can't go by those. The 60's smooth top pickups you see around 8 to 10K each are to original specs.

Later Jonas Ridge smooth cover pickups where back at 12-13k.

Right, the later ones were wound hotter, but not the 60's variety. ;)
