I'm in the process of restoring a '66 single pickup Ventures bass. When I got it, it was missing one of the brass saddles. A forum member was kind enough to make a replacement for me, but I can't quite figure out which one is missing (they are each grooved and notche'd differently, and I'm going to have to groove the new one).
Does anyone have any good photos of an original bass bridge with the raw brass saddles so that I can compare and figure out which I'm missing?

The saddle slots should be cut at an angle with the sharp or higher edge of the groove facing towards the nut to give the proper braking angle so that the string doesn't lie flat in the groove. However, there have been times when the higher edge is placed towards the tail of the guitar to achieve proper intonation but only as a last resort.

I'm looking for a clear shot of a bridge from the front or back so that I can see how deep the saddle grooves are for each one (they're cut differently for each string). I'm not sure if I'm missing the G or the A.

Back when I had a 72 Mosrite bass, I was surprised that there were only two sizes of groove cuts in the four saddles. Hopefully one of our collector experts will chime in.
