'66 Mark V rebuild project

Postby halfblank » Sun Nov 30, 2014 9:24 am

Hey guys, I recently bought a '66 Mark V body off of ebay. You guys probably saw it. I have no reason to think that it's not authentic, but I also have no proof. In any case, I want to find parts for this and don't really know where to look. I sent both Dana Moseley and Artie Niesen an email but haven't gotten a response from either. It's Thanksgiving holidays so maybe I'll try again this coming week. I'm guessing the biggest challenge will be finding a '66 neck. Any advice? Thanks!

You might want to give Bob Shade at Hallmark Guitars a call. He's a great resource for parts and information on everything Mosrite!

Was the guitar body you bought finished in purple?

Yes. Purple sparkle. Do you know something about it?

I saw it on eBay, before and after it was parted out. The neck's number was B822 or B812, it's listed here:

Thanks for the info, Austin. Too bad it's parted out. Would love to find that neck.
