Do Mosrite Ventures Necks feel like Gibsons to you?

On a whim I picked up a Gibson Les paul today and the Neck felt familiar. Fenders are my go to weapon for audio carnage, so I'm still pretty new to Gibsons and their ilk. I realized the the last neck that had this shape and feel was the Mosrite 350 and the one encounter I had with Chris Flanagan's (the Volcano's) Ventures model he let my try out. But, maybe a little thicker than a Mosrite. I read that Semie Moseley was a former apprentice at Rickenbacker, but I have no idea what their necks feel like.

So, guys would you say this is a fair assessment? Do Mosrite necks feel similar to Gibsons (circa 1960)? Or am I way off base? They feel like a slim "U" shape to me. I need to shape to back of my neck and dont know where to start profiling. I don't want it to end up feeling weird. The neck is already pretty thin, and dont want to take off much more meat off the neck.

Also, if there is a guide to shaping Mosrite necks, I would be glad to find it.

The Mosrite 350's had a wider neck than the 1960's Ventures models. The 350's are not too unlike early-'60's Gibson SG/Les Paul/335 necks, maybe a bit thinner--but the old Ventures model necks are not only extremely thin but extremely narrow; 1-1/2" or so at the nut--think Jazz Bass with six strings crammed in there. By 1966 Gibson had gone from a 1-11/16" nut width to a narrower 1-9/16" width, possibly because Mosrites were pretty popular in the mid-'60's. Unfortunately those Mosrites had tiny low frets too--not very good for string bending. In the early-'70's Mosrite went to the wider neck on the whole line--that's when the 350's were made. I bought one new in 1974. At that time the Ventures model had the wider neck too, but I don't think they were using the Ventures name by then--they called them Mark I's. Some of them had the same humbucking pickups used on the 350.
