Gibson Firebird

Postby cincinnatiharry » Sat Jun 21, 2014 1:09 pm

I love the way my Gibson Firebird plays and looks, but I hate the sound of the pickups.

I was thinking to have some Mosrite pickups routed and installed... thoughts?

Firebirds got a kind of unique sound but what don't you like about it or what are you looking for?

There's other avenues to go down try a straight mini humbucker?Firebird pickups have blades not slugs in them.Small difference but counts.

P90s would be similar to Mosrite but less invasive it's only a small route needed

not 100% 3 mosrite pickups would fit in there either (if its a 3 pickup bird?)
