Quarter-round metal nut/string guide?

Postby SeanTheFunky » Wed Feb 06, 2013 3:31 pm

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been posting recently, basically I've finally received my Mosrite Ventures II slab copy, it's a beaut but there are some parts I can see myself changing eventually. The main one at the moment I'm thinking of is the nut; it has a Stratocaster style nut and would like to swap it for the Mosrite style metal nut (or guide). I've only found one manufacturer so far and was wondering if anyone on here knows of a person or can in fact make one for under the $40 this website is asking.

I'll post some pics of my new MKII slab in clones forum as soon as I get my mitts on a camera, thanks folks :)

We have quarter rounds in various widths.

What is the width of your neck at the nut?

Sean;
There is a tutorial posted somewhere a guy on the Mosrite site made one from a brass Toilet lid bolt.
It was a very nice job. and simple. If I find it, I'll post link.

Did it have a MOT pickguard? (that's a joke, son!)
