I finally got around to making a decent recording of the tonal possibilities of the "dual-tone" M3guitars pickups I've got the Meshugga-rite. I run through the pickup combinations I use, full and half power settings and also the out of phase sounds. Hopefully, with the higher sound quality there's a better sense of why I like these pickups so much.

Mel, I just love that guitar and a great job I think showing just what it can do. I also like your playing and not just from this clip but from the other video clips you have out there. If I ever get playing out again I will have to look into some of those pickups. Thanks.

Mel, I caught all the different sounds, tones and nuances pretty good...with my earphones on!
Good job and those M3 pickups nail all the various types of sound, my fav being full power and heavy saturated Fender Reverbbbb!

Re: M3 guitars pickup sound samples
Thanks guys. I'm really pleased with the versatility of these pickups. I'm really happy being able to get Mosrite, Jazzmaster and Strat style tones from one guitar, and as a bonus, the "acoustic-y" sound with phase switching and half power was an unexpected surprise when I installed that switch a few weeks ago.
I know I'm pretty far on the bell curve of tinkering with my guitars, but I figured this stuff might be useful even to those who are more liable to spend time playing their guitars than messing with them.

Such an excellent video Mel! And great playing as well.
I have a pair of uninstalled M3 Mosrite-style P90s in my underwear drawer. Glad to know my underwear has that great Mosrite tone.

I was wondering that, also. Mel, that is a super video. It is arranged in a logical manner and should be helpful to those looking for guidance on pickup purchases. Your commentary about what you were looking for and what you ended up with are also most helpful.
Good job!

Re: M3 guitars pickup sound samples
Thanks - glad the video is useful!
I use D'Addario XL-110 nickel wound 10-46 strings. The pick is a Dunlop nylon .73mm.
For what it's worth, I use different eq and reverb settings for Mosrites compared to Fenders - more treble and especially presense on the amp and less dwell and more tone on the reverb tank. For the heavy reverb I crank the mix control and leave the dwell and tone alone.
