My Homebrew Fuzz-Rite

Postby Mr. Bill » Thu Jun 16, 2011 2:24 pm

OK, you guys have shamed me into getting something done. Here is my Fuzzrite built into a HD engine box. I always thought that there was a great tie-in with the Blue's Theme and the Fuzzrite sound.

Does it vibrate? Haven't seen a Harley that wouldn't vibrate every bone in your body. :P

Seriously though, that's is very clever.

Very very cool! I agree. I'd love one of these in my chain.

Thanks for all the comments. I had fun coming up with this design. Maybe I should add a vibrator motor from an old pager to add to the realism.

I happened to find these boxes at a department store a few years back. They were meant to be a "treasure" box, you know to hold your pocket change or keys. I bought one and when I got it home measured things to see if I could put a circuit inside of it. The footswitch fit perfectly in the lower end and the top section had a perfect place to fit an led. The next day I went back and bought 4 more. I've given a couple of these to friends as gifts and made one to sell to a friend of one of my friends who had to have one once he had seen it. So I finally made this one for me.

I haven't seen these boxes for sale anywhere since I picked these up. I guess they ran their course and are no longer being made.
