Well, Its been a while. I bought another spring, A lighter gauge one. I still need to make or buy a new G saddle. Also, I probably won't paint the guitar blue now. I might paint it Orange, Similar to the shade of the "Duel" Plymouth Valiant in this picture but maybe a bit darker. (The car is really red, The picture is a bit off)

I'd better order some more parts before the truck tries to push me into a train.

Check the water level before you start this trip :D

Did you thought about paint it in the "old way", I mean silver or gold as a base, and then a transparent colour?

I hadn't thought about painting it that way. Perhaps I'll put Shellac on it as a primer then paint it. Anyway, I haven't done anything to it since the last post. Been busy. After reading this topic I'm beginning to think it'll be harder than I thought to get replacement pickups...

At first I thought maybe I'd just buy Ventures I style pups but seeing this, I'm sure the tone is different. Gotta check what alternatives I have. Maybe Ed's replacements will work.

The problem was the guitar was missing two of them.

Austin;
Where are you on your project right now. Did you get the screw out of the Saddle. If not and you don't want to try, send it to me and I'll get it out for you.

Thanks Dan but its really jammed in there, I did manage to get a hole through the screw but I don't know if its worth trying to save at this point. I'll upload pics of it.

My, My My, How time passes! My last post was five months and six days ago! Dan, I never did upload pics of the saddle but I don't think its worth saving now. Today I called Ed and talked about all the replacement parts I need then I ordered them. It'll be a few weeks before they arrive, Hopefully they'll be home for Christmaaaaaaas. Heh. :) I've been waiting to play a MK V (Or equivalent) Since Spring-Summer 2007, Looks like I'll finally get my chance!
