Mosley Tremolo Question

Postby Mr. Bill » Thu Aug 28, 2008 1:05 pm

Ok, here's one for you more experienced Mosrite guys.

When you remove the Mosley tailpiece, what's underneath the metal plate? Is the body flat under there with no routing? Are there threaded inserts that go into the body for the bridge height adjustment screws or is all in the plate?

Just wondering.

There is no routing, the body is flat and there are no inserts. At least on the American made Mosrite. I've never worked on an import one. The plate is tap threaded Also you will find a hole bored from under the plate into the control cavity for the grounding wire.

Danny, thanks for the info!

Do the bridge studs go beneath the plate into the top of the body or only up above the plate?

They go into the body about 3/4".
