				Where can I find the brass string guides that are used on Mosrite guitars? Also I have never built a zero fret neck before. How much taller is the 'zero fret", if any, than the others?

				Sorry, not a guitar tech, (don't have the proper measuring tools) but I observe that the frets on my Hallmark 60 Custum stand 1 mm tall [thickness: 2 mm] whereas the zero fret measures 1.2 to 1.3 mm in height [thickness: 2.5 mm]. I took both measurements from the
surface of the fingerboard up. (the rest is submerged

 )
Bob Shade of Hallmark Guitars may be able to supply you with a metal string guide but not sure about a brass one. (my Hallmark 60 Custom has a chromed one and the string spacing is a tad
wider than the Mosrite).
Owners of the real McCoy (i.e. Mosrite) will no doubt be able to tell you more.
Hope this helps.

				Cool. Hey bluther, if you've got any pics of your build/mod, we're all ready to 'devour' them!

				on my semie mosrites the zero fret is the same size as the rest, on my japanese reissue, the zero fret was never dressed, so it sits slightly higher. more importantly as long as the string guide behind your zero fret sits lower then the zero fret you should be fine as long as you don't get any fret buzz.

				Andy Moseley, Semi's brother, sells original round or half-round string guides. They are on Ebay quite often for around $10.00. Contact him at
mosriteno1parts2@bellsouth.net and I am sure he will accomodate you.
