Re: lefty
I'm partial to a nice off-white, myself.

Oigun is getting ready to paint this gem and I'm still not sure what color I want.
All I know is; NO burst!
What do you all say? Remember the body binding is black.
Shoot!
pearl white with a tortoise pickguard...the black binding will really set it off.

How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?

Re: lefty
Hi guys and Sarah, My personal choice would be Ermine white, that is the whitest white you'll ever see its a 1963 chev corvet color and if it has a black binding, with a black pick guard it will look sharp. My other choice would be the perlesent white like whats on the new Cadalacks, if there is no binding on the body.

Re: lefty
Thanks for chiming in everybody and as much as I love the way 'white-ish' Mo's look, Oigun and I decided to go another route.
Guitars and cars are about the only things that one could consider 'cool' and where color/finish is a real issue. Since most guitars get finished in automotive paints we decided to take a look at what cool colors come on what cool cars.

Now is that a color for a surf guitar or what? I should have had Oigun put in chrome binding...

More like this Oigun says;

guess that's right, the green hardly shows in this pic though.
But a Volvorite it'll be...
