Did you use a nitro finish on this one?

Yes, I use nitrocellulose lacquer on all my clones. Here in California all you can buy is clear. I mix the colors with pigments. For some reason our state has outlawed nitrocellulose lacquer for any 'commercial use' except for cabinet finishing. So it is only available in clear. You can only buy aerosol cans of nitro in silver, black, white or clear.

Thanks you all for you comments. My main objective in all these projects is to encourage others to jump in and enjoy the experience of building whether from scratch, parts-rite or restoring a guitar. It's a very rewarding (sometimes aggravating) experience. You can do it.

Nobody tryied a balance key insted a switch? Yamaha used this options in his basses (SB series from the 60´s).
