hey,

one word of advice that i wish I got before finishing my first guitar. be very careful about paint getting inside your neck joint. if you have a build up in there, the neck joint becomes a little smaller, and when you attach the neck you run the high risk of chipping your paint job. most likely on the guitar body around the neck joint. if you do have some paint in the joint i would recommend carefully sanding the cavity with a 2-300 grit piece of sand paper. it can also be helpful sand a little on the neck as well in the areas that is touching the neck joint when the neck is attached to the guitar body. hope this helps.
Cheers,
Aaron

Wow, It is really shaping up to be something special. The sunburst on the body looks good, The rosewood looks beautiful in the light and the front headstock sunburst looks like a picture from an Egyptian exhibit at a museum! So, Any news?

Had to put the project on the back burner for a while. I got commissioned to build a Dreadnaught acoustic and it has a deadline so it comes first :) Money talks :D

Hey all. I guess its time I finished this project  I think the lacquer is probably dry enough  I picked up a pair of pickups from M3 California , I hear their pretty spot on. Now to start the sanding :( Ive been thinking about also purchasing a Hallmark Custom 60 to get a more realistic flavor a Mosrite than mine will probably be.
