thanks everyone. i'm really happy with it so far, although it does seem a bit heavy. i'm now wondering should i make the neck out of mahogany or use the neck i already started on. i'm petty sure i want to use a rosewood fingerboard now. this maple finger board is great, but i'm wondering if i use too much maple maybe it'll sound too trebly. what do you guys think?

I doubt treble would be a concern. With high output singles or humbuckers, I don't think there's enough treble in the signal to cause issues.

Aesthetically, a mahogany/rosewood neck would keep with the L.P. vibe. Also, the body has so much flame to it that with a flame-y neck the player might catch on fire! ;)

lol mel. i just wonder if i cut too much of the bass tone by hollowing out the mahagony, but you're probably right mel.
