I made the bridgecover but you guys have to help me out!!
It seems that my original centerline is a bit off (see the bottomline)
So the cover won'n fit nicely over the bridge. Can anyone (Danny ) Measure for me the length where i put the ruler.
In a 90degree angle to the widest point of the underside?

Also I see the cover mounted in different ways what is the right way? Front squared with the string or back squared with strings?

If you are referring to the lines for the bends in the bridge cover, keep in mind those bends are not 90 degrees. The 'legs' flare out towards the body, more like 75 degrees. The widest leg goes toward the pickguard. I guess I should have drawn the front view of the cover.

Sorry about that. I made those drawings from a tracing Dennis did for me of his Mosrite bass. At that time I didn't have a bass nor had I ever held one, so it was trial and error. I too had to make certain adjustments to get everything to fit. That is why I left off the centerline on the drawing. Using the tracing of Dennis' pickguard I found it changed the centerline about 1/4" or more above what should be the centerline judging by the location of the neck pocket location in relation to the 'hump'. I don't recall what method I used on that blue bass I built as it is now long gone, but I think I compensated with a small change in the shape of the pickguard. Plus I routed the neck pocket about 1/8" higher than what looked to be the centerline.

BTW, that bridge cover looks great but the legs need to spread out some. Like I stated before the bends are not 90 degrees.

It's gone and so is the blue burst six string, the one that I made all the metal parts for. The only thing I have left is the S/B and Candy Apple Red clones.
