after a breakfast of egg and toast, i trekked out across the flooded tundra to the mecca

and i got a nice piece of basswood 14 feet

i went at an experiment today



i need to make the post a bit higher, but this is the basic idea, what do you guys think? I used the tried and true oven method

Can you explain the oven process? Do you place a plastic sheet on top of the wood form and let it melt around it, or do you use the form to press the plastic into a mold, or....?

Hey mel

What i do is, i put the wood on a pizza pan in the oven, and put some pickguard material(precut, over the top of it) i turn the oven to 450 and it takes about 5 minutes to melt, then i pull it out and let it cool down ontop of the stove
