A really cool instrument! The black pick guard goes well with the finish. I think I can remember seeing that colour finish on Studebaker cars of the fifties! I still have to get used to looking at a lefty Mosrite shape though. It's looking really sharp with the binding and a very smoooooth finish 8-)

I have never attempted to build a guitar myself but I imagine one of the most important things is to place the bridge posts absolutely spot-on for the strings to line up perfectly with the fingerboard and pickup pole-pieces. Is it difficult?

No, when you use a centerline. The bridge posts are a bit slanted end when I installed the bridge I realize that i drill the holes78u the wrong way (the righty way :mrgreen:

)
But it intonates well and it is less than 2millimeters. Maybe I change it some day but i first want olav to rock his socks off...

this is one of the coolest building threads ever... the guitar looks just beautiful... :shock:

little question: is the trem/vibrato unit made of sandcasted aluminium and then just polished... or ist crome-plated?
and the roller bridge... is it an original Mosrite bridge or the Hallmark one... or...???
