Hello, here's some computer images of two projects I have for my guitars, a home made mosritized trem and a thing I call the "mossby"... you'll easily understand why! I like to get your feeling about, and if you are interested, theses are first intends for my guitar range but it will be possible to make some more.

Are you planning to make these on a CNC machine, or how are you going to make them. Are you planning to sell them if possible ?

That is a novel idea. The only thing is that it will not have the feel of a Mosrite tremolo. It will feel like a Bigsby. Semie took the Bigsby theory of design and eliminated the roller tension bar hence calling the Mosrite a "loose tension vibrato".

It really has a different feel when the tension bar was eliminated which gives it much less of a stiffer Bigsby feel.

the "problem" I often get when using the mosrite and yours with different guitars(other than mosrite or yours I mean) is "geometrical", a couple of strings are quite tangent to the bridge, it makes players with a heavy hand to make jump these strings out of the bridge saddle groves while playing... there is some bigsby without the roller tension bar and they feel like a bigsby, no better no worse, the use of this bar on my "design" doesn't really change the feeling you have to play the vibrato but it avoid totally the strings to jump off the bridge saddles groves . I am finalysing two model, accordind to the "bigsby" designation, as the B5 and B7, I'll probably make it with the bigsby style arm

I agree the Mosrite design can be a hindrance to heavy strumming. When I made mine I almost concluded I needed to add the tension roller to make it more functional, but chose not to, so as to maintain design characteristics.

We have taken care of the issue that you are speaking of on all of our current models without a tension bar. Our work absolutely perfect now for heavy hitters and still have the buttery feel.

The pivot point of the tension bar makes the string bend now in 2 places and the bar will loose some of the drop (ala Bigsby). In other words it will take more effort to get as much of a drop and the bar will not feel or react the same.

That does sound like a big improvement. I also experienced higher action. Just thought it was something I was overlooking. I guess you found it.

Hello Bob,
I had some of your vibrato and didn't notice they were working diferently than the original mosrite unit? but perhaps they have new improvment since I have ordered the lasts from you?
