It really has a different feel when the tension bar was eliminated which gives it much less of a stiffer Bigsby feel.

The pivot point of the tension bar makes the string bend now in 2 places and the bar will loose some of the drop (ala Bigsby). In other words it will take more effort to get as much of a drop and the bar will not feel or react the same.
