This will do for now, and since I have the templates, tools and all, I'll just make a new body now from proper material.

After finding out the wood is not dry enough and it was impossible to sand it smoothly on the edges becouse the fibres are too tough, I decided I'm not gonna spend any more time on this and just paint it as is.
I made a boo boo again, and clear coated it when the blue wasn't dry enough yet - or maybe there was some strange chemical reaction going down there?
Anyway, it resulted in a fer bubbles in the clear coat. But considering the express preparation for painting, I'm not bothered that much.

It's pretty punk rock in details, but quite cool (from a distance) at the same time. If you look at it closely there are a million flaws, some bigger than others.
But the strange thing is it feels really really good. Better than all my other quitars. It's not better really, but it feels better

Anyway, it has been a great learning experience. I learned a lot off the internet, but the best thing is to just do it yourself.
Now I just hope I get to fine tune it in time for next week's gig.
When I make a proper body next time, I'll make a better report, with more & better photos.

cheers
