Hello,
I was just working on a fingerboard that will show how the ends of the frets get covered.

It really isn't much of a mystery. It's just a matter of filing away the binding to the fingerboard and leaving
the binding to cover the fret end.

Eds guitars are of the highest quality that comes from expereance and
dedication. He also plays the Gutar fairly well. I would like to see pictures
of doing the layout for the inlays. They look so neet.

Hello Ronald,
I didn't mean to hijack Ed's thread. He is a superb builder. The picture above is of one of my guitar necks that just happened to
be at the right state to show how the binding was filed away to cover the fret ends. The question came up a few reply's back.

I have shown how I do inlays on several of the progress guitars on my site.

Again, apologies to Ed.

Terry,

I'm sure no one would complain if you started a thread here about your builds. :)

Mr.E. F. Eliott, I would like to thank you for the information reguarding the proceduers on doing the german carve. When I did mine I used a Metabo, has a smaller dia disk cuts faster, and seems like you can get into closer quarters, like around the horns. I'm just being a wise a.., as far as the formality of the begining of this note, but I did learn. Now just need to know how to keep the boss smilling while I'm making guitars.
