Hello,
I have a little project going that requires a Gibson L-7 or L-5 tailpiece. I've been monitoring eBay the last few weeks but nothing so far.
If you have one or know of one please drop me a note.
Thanks - Terry

Re: Need Gibson Tailpiece
Need to narrow the search to the L-7. I thought they were similar. . . but they're not. anyway, this is the type I'm looking for.
It would be going on Larry Collins mid 50's single neck he calls the "Larrico" It's in sad shape at the moment with a few parts missing.
It is a 1 off guitar made by Larry and Semie at Semie's shop in Granada Hills. You can see it on a couple of Youtube vids.
This is not a photo of the Larrico. Just the tailpiece needed. Thanks

Re: Need Gibson Tailpiece
Terry,
If this is just a Stock L-7 Bridge, I believe they are still available from Gibson under the
"Gibson Histerical Collection,"....eerrr, "the Gibson Historical Collection." I believe that
some of the 50's guitar bridges (early ES-150's, 175s, etc) were 'common' on the JAZZ Models

Hello,
I have a little project going that requires a Gibson L-7 or L-5 tailpiece. I've been monitoring eBay the last few weeks but nothing so far.
Hey Terry,
you can try calling Matt at Action Music, he is a Gibson "super dealer" and I've bought rare vintage Gibson parts from him in the past. the number at his store is 703-534-4801. hope he can help ya.
cheers,
Aaron
