Danny,
I can see that a lock washer would be a good idea. I played a 3 hour gig last night and the arm held it's firmness even with plenty of twisting it back and forth, so I'm guessing that the plastic washer and liquid lockwasher is going to do the trick as well.
Thanks for sharing the secret, me and my Mosrite thank you!

In my case from top to bottom:
arm handle (stock)
leather washer (stock)
plastic washer
arm mount (stock) - does this piece has a proper name?
washer (stock)
bolt (stock) w/drop of liquid lockwasher

I removed a paper gasket that was between the leather and the mount.

1st gig with the Ranger, after half an hour the arm start loosing,I had no wrench with me,a nightmare,we-los (the)Wet-Tones ,play usually 30-34 tunes ,so after 15 tunes ,the arm(I fixed with a rubber washer very tight) loose!
it's different from the original or a Excellent ,a bad design, very easy to loose, you can tighteen it as you want, but after the washer is compressed it start loose again.
I saw the picture in this section, but I think it doesn't work on the Ranger bridge style design.
Any suggestion?

Bruno,
Have you tried liquid lockwasher? Sometimes it's also called liquid threadlock.

The Meltones aren't really a gigging entity anymore, but we released an album a few years ago called "Surf! Spy! Space!" which you can find on CDBaby:

A compilation of our first two CDs is also available, called "Surf Sensation":
