A tune for two veteran friends

Last Saturday night I played this tune at our community TV station holiday party for two team members who passed away last month.
"Cavatina" is a theme song from the movie "Deer Hunter". Stanley Myers wrote the song and John Williams made it famous with his classical guitar arrangement. The version I played is in a style of The Shadows. Both Herb and Ira were veterans, and I felt this "bitter and sweet" song would be appropriate for the occasion.

We have many veterans live in our retirement community. Although I am not an veteran, I am friendly with many of them. Last year we lost our band member who was also an Vietnam Veteran. It is very sad to see them go.
