on line racing

Postby sleeperNY » Tue Feb 21, 2012 10:25 am

One of my other pastimes is racing a NASCAR game on line. I just thought that some of you would like the paint job on my car.

Swell job, Jim. Let's hope "Mosrite" gets placed on the real racers too ;)

Paul, that is about as close as it will ever get. It takes a HUGE amount of money to get your name in the hood and 1/4 panels of a race car.

I Like the paint job Jim ... good to see another on-line racer here. You didn't mention which one you use but I'll admit to being an iRacer ... I just competed in the iRacing version of the Rolex 24 Hours 'driving ' a Riley and Scott Daytona Prototype .. the race lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes . I started in 25th finished in 6th place ,which cheered me up a lot because I consider myself to be 'old and slow' , but safe . We had nearly 2 thousand racers join the race worldwide in 24 splits..

I'm busy getting the setups sorted for my Impala SS in time for this week's 'Tona 500' . Dreading 'the big one' :-)

Cheers juan

juan. I am still using the 2003 nascar game by Sierra. I don't put in the time I need to be a consistent winner but can usually manage a top 5. I have never tried iRacing, it just cost's to much for me.

Yes Nascar2003 was the pinnacle , iRacing still doesn't have the features that title had ... I suppose I'm signed up out of loyalty to Dave Kaemmer and co , I felt it was just such a shame when Sierra sold out to Vivendi and they closed down Papyrus, resulting in NASCAR giving the licence to EA . It split the community and we lost what was in reality ten years of steady development in online racing. I've still got two copies of it here, plus the boxes :-)
