Hi i'm looking for a mosrite guitar.

Can some one tell me about the new mosrite reissue models from USA? I want to know if the 66' Mark 1 is a good guitar or if i should try to find me a vintage model from the 60-80's?

I see that the 66' reissue models are made from Basswood and not alder. Is this a good or a bad thing or does this not matter?

Welcome aboard. There are numerous posts here on the various Mosrite, and patterned-after Mosrites. Hallmark guitars have some interesting offerings, and from what I gather, the quality is excellent.

Welcome to the Forum 13thfloor. If you are looking for a vintage model from the 60-80's, be prepared to dig into your bank account (depending which model you decide on).
And the new models are not cheap, but you have first shot at buying a reissue as though you were buying a new one from the 60's . You can purchase a brand new one at
'Front Porch Music' in Bakersfield. Artie, The store owner is a member here on our Forum.....And you will not be disappointed..... .

Hi welcome. I dont care for basswood for guitar use, just my experience.....

Then you wouldn't care for vintage Mosrites.

Look at Hallmark priced well below reissue Mosrites and more user friendly and sound and play great.
