Who ever said that 60 is the new 40 should be in my body. I feel just like a box of rice crispies, I snap cracle and pop. 62

What's cracle? At 38 I've been feeling like snap, crackle, plop a bit too much for too many years now. Physically, it's been a bit downhill since 32, mentally it's been nothing but uphill. As fun as my 20's were, don't miss 'em a bit. I still say turning 30 was the best thing to happened to me and can only hope the 40 brings the same, and 50, and so on.

34, looks like the thirty-somethings are now in a dead heat with the fifties!

Dead right it does. I'm 52 my bass player is 54 and we play punk rock as fast and energetic as any of the younger bands we play with.
We've been doing it on and off since 1977 and no matter how many times I think we're finished we keep getting offers for more gigs. Over the years we've supported the Dropkick Murphy's,The Damned, Zeke and Suzi Quatro and we're still going strong.
If I didn't have the music I'd be a dreary old bloke just like most of the people I know in my age group, so all I can say is ...ROCK ON!!!
Bill.

I just turned plenty-nine last month and I still feel 18. My daughter is 15 and we climb trees together just to sit and talk. I run and play with the dogs and I stay up until 1:00 a.m. working on my Mosrite Celebrity webpage. Personally, I don't care much about numbers in age or weight. As long as I feel good and still have a shape, all is well in the world. ;)

my vote puts the dirty thirties above the nifty fifties :P

In previous discussions over the years on this it appears to me that the guys into Mosrites in their 30's come from a Ramones,MC5 background while the 50s are more Ventures/surf related.

Generalising of course

59 and the 1st song I learned on guitar was Walk Don't Run.I bought my partially dismantaled Mosrite Ventures model from a guy back in '69-'70.It was pretty banged up but somehow I've kept it all these years and haven't done anything with it.Now I'm looking to get some needed parts for it and refurbish it if I can.Its serial # 0030.I believe its a '63.Has side jack and 3 screws to hold on scratchguard. It has the original pickups,no scratchguard or toggle switch. One of the pickups is cracked on the top and around the outside screw holes. The wiring is kind of a mess. The Sunbust body is pretty dinged up.Needs a bridge and tailpiece.I'm glad I found this forum so maybe I can get some advice and help.Blair
