Question # 1) What is the font that they use on the Mosrite logo?

#2) Is anyone interested in trading some CDR's? I don't have any Ventures music, but would like some. I have a ton of music, but mostly punk. Some country. I have the entire Ramones collection, so maybe we can do a quid pro quo Ventures for Ramones trade.

If somebody knows the name of the font on the Ventures logo, I'd love to know the name. As far as I know it was done "freehand" by a design agency in Los Angeles. I've been trying to find somebody who knows the name of the agency Semie hired to design the Mosrite logo, the Ventures logo and the catalogs...possibly they are still around. Whoever they were, they were geniuses.

I agree. Also, the Ramones model that came out in the mid 80's is the same font. I'd like to print a decal with either my name or my bands name in that font & stick it on my Ranger. Just for spit & giggles.

I was thinking the same for the guitar I just finished.

The closest I can think for the font is "Big Daddy Roth". His Rat Fink drawings and surf/ hot rod stuff was real big in the early/ mid '60's.

House Industries is a great source of fonts. I think the Ed Benguiat Font "Interlock" comes close:
