NOT The Ventures on Walk Don't Run Album Cover

I heard this years ago--that they used other guys in the original "Walk Don't Run" album photo, and it appears to be true if you look at the album. Anyone know why they didn't use the actual Ventures members?

I had once heard that the band members weren't available at the time of the photo shoot and some studio replacements were used..
They got it right for the Walk don't run 64 album though...and don't the Mosrites look fabulous...

They sure do, Tom. I'm torn between liking same-color headstocks, like the one in the '64 album or the blonde ones.
