Bob....I got my Mom to up my allowance a little so I MIGHT be in better "shape"?

A revised FJ2011 schedule has been posted here:

Please note that both Bob Spalding AND Leon Taylor will be attendance. :o

If my math is correct, that's 1/2 of the Ventures!!!

Here's your chance to see/hear them play up, close and personal and chat with them.

A GREAT time was had by all at Ventures FJ 2011.

over 500 pix are posted here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/17843311@N ... 807825730/

Facebook link with postings is here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/12532180 ... p_activity

Hope to see many more fans @ FJ 2012.

Was great to have Bob Shade and his guitars there. Got to see the new bases for the first time. They look better than the original Mosrites and have much improved sound over the original Mosrites.

My daughter Miranda and I left early in the morning to get to the V-Jam in NJ. It took only 2 hrs. to get there, not bad! We needed to get the Hallmark Guitars booth set up before the attendees got back from breakfast. We had a really wonderful time @ the Ventures fan jam 2011! We met some new friends, and finally got to meet some of the people we have been e-mailing and speaking to on the phone over the years. Had good conversations with Leon Taylor and Bob Spalding.

It was really cool just being in the same room with so many people who love the same band, The Ventures. There were Mosrites, Ventures memorabilia and two Ventures and a back line of equipment for jamming and a bunch of new Hallmarks for testing.

Also, the event was catered for lunch, dinner, as well as cake and coffee later. What more could you ask for?

What was just as cool was to watch each player taking turns jamming with Leon and Bob. Sometimes it was tight and other times a slight train wreck but was great fun to watch and it looked like everyone including Bob and Leon really enjoyed themselves.

I will be looking forward to the next V-Jam in 2012! It was really a great time had by all and I hope more people will try to make it next year.

The Ventures Fan Jam Forever!

Maybe Tom did. Many thanks to Tom then.

Anyway, it was surely a tasty one. We were playing when the cake was cut. Luckily, my wife saved a small piece for me. :P

I would have loved to come and it was close enough to me too but this darn band thing keeps getting in the way. Well I'm just going to keep the band job and just hope that next year we aren't playing on that day.
