Recording achievements

Postby handbrake » Fri Jul 01, 2011 11:58 am

Wanted to document how a budding interest in Mosrites can lead to all sorts of trouble (not limited to pool halls anymore!). Though it started out for me as a place to store my collection of instruments and equipment, Pulp Studios has generated two recently released albums from local musicians that I'm very proud to say we recorded and mixed.

Mark Verne "Real Gold Don't Shine" http://www.digstation.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?albumID=ALB000081863
Strummin' Dog "Signify" http://strummindog.bandcamp.com/

Thanks MF members for being such a great community!

Thanks, B. I think they sound great, too.

We're working on Strummin' Dog's next album that will feature music on amplified guitars. Stay tuned to Delta Blues on a Brass Rail! And you'll probably hear it calling out over amps like a '59 Barth or '64 Standel.

A quick note, Mark Verne plays one track with an electric--an E.F. Elliott archtop from '86.

Quality sound. There's nothing that can replace that special rich and warm sound of an acoustic guitar!
