Pretty cool Ventures video! They are playing Guyatone Sharp 5 guitars which were specially made for them. In 1984 when the Ventures toured Japan, Nagasaka presented them with a set of four of these suped-up Guyatone LG-1200s, complete with The Ventures logo on the pickguard. :D :D :D :D This info was posted about the video.

Adam, that's one wild guitar! To be clear, this is one of the 80s models, right? What does the mini switch by the input jack do?

 Hey thats you??? Great looking guitar, and cool history to the 1980's version of the sharp 5. I always love the shape and look of the sharp 5. Looks to be a very well made premium guitar, and a improvement over the 1960's version. (better tuners, set neck etc). Trem appears a little different as well from the older version. Hope to get one someday.

Thanks, Mel! 1982 all the way. This guitar requires two 3-way switches to get all 7 possible pickup combinations. And for those of you doing the math, yes, that means that three out of the nine switch permutations are the same.
