I came home late from work last night and just caught the tail end of the daily show. it was pretty cool what I found

Very cool. Celebrity & a Joe Maphis bass. This band is starting to get pretty big. They catch on & the prices on Celebrities will go up.

It looks like a 1974 Celebrity-II deluxe. I think a couple of knobs have been replaced though.

I like everything about that band except the song they did, the way they sound, and their approach to making music.

Everything else is great.

Again, I liked everything but the song and how they went about it. I thought, when the clip started, this is gonna be good, with eight smart and talented people in a band and such a mix of instruments.

But i was disappointed. There were some good moments, but I felt let down.

Maybe it was just a lackluster song choice.

And nobody ever said that I had to like all the bands I see and hear!

By the way, Folks-- quite a photo session with Bob Shade and John Lackey yesterday evening! My best office Nikon had been borrowed by some schmuck and now I can't sync it with the studio strobes anymore until I pay someone to come reset it all. But we got a couple of hundred shots of Bob and his wonderful guitars and I hope they are usable.

The guitars are just stunningly attractive. Bob? Not so much.

Bob is also working on a secret style change I recommended to one of his offerings, and we'll see how that works after he returns from a well-deserved vacation!

Jim, I strongly disagree. I thought they did a magnificent job playing their version of "Silence Is Golden"......

How's things in South Florida, you lucky boy? I'm getting the itch to spend a few months a year down in Naples, but my lovely wife and my pitiful bank account are both against it.
