Cover vs. Original/No Mosrite Content

I dunno, an oddball song of sorts but I think it's pretty cool how Slade pulled this one off. The burp was an accident as they used to drink A TON before their shows. Dave Hill, Slade's guitar player, had some crazy guitars too. Guess I'm tooting Slade's horn a bit despite the pile of stinkers they have. I just think it's pretty cool how many oddball covers they did. This was the old days when bands really busted their butt to break into the biz and even with all the work they put in they still never quite got there. They covered Born to be Wild long before it was a hit. Kinda funny, in those days long before only meant 6 months to year. I work with a guy that was in the Velvet Underground during their last year or so and they played with them. He kinda laughed when I brought them up. He was amazed that I knew and liked 'em. Then he said, "They really had their eyes on the prize!"
