1. Look at your Mosrite (if you have one)
2. Try to desk drum this song?

Mel Taylor was always such a fantastic drummer for the Ventures; thankfully, he has left us a ton of his recordings for us fans to keep on enjoying

Back before the Ventures came along Mel Taylor played drums on some of Buck Owens records. Also did you know that Nokie also played lead for Buck Owens before Don Rich came along. Don Rich was also a fiddle player when he med Buck Owens and not a guitar player. Just some trivia for those that didn't already know it.

Nokie also played Violin as well as Banjo, Bass, Mandolin and Steel Guitar .
And Erik Brann was also a Violinist before he took up the guitar (Iron Butterfly).

Never get tired of this one. A classic. definative Mosrite/Ventures tone love it! Mel Taylor the secret weapon of the the Ventures (not mention "The Monster Mash")

this actually the first time I watched them play this tune, although I've heard this version like a million times. the skill of that whole band is just freakin amazing. I wish I was have as good as Nokie.
