Iggy and The Stooges

Postby ImNotJohnnyRamone » Sat Apr 03, 2010 12:41 pm

Im sitting here with nothing to do, sitting here thinking only of you mosrite. :D Ramones!

Anywho! Im watching the End of The Century and its very early in the flick and I see Iggy and The Stooges come up on stage. So I see Iggy, shirtless, a Fender head stock then I see this blue bass. Its looked to have a Mosrite Ventures style pickgaurd and the head looks Mosish. Did the bassist from The Stooges play a Mosrite bass???

I'm almost 90% certain he did, I think it was blue. If I recall correctly it was on ebay about a year ago.

He most certainly did. If you look inside the cover of the Stooges 'Funhouse' album you can see Dave Alexander sitting next to his beautiful shiny blue Mosrite bass.

Poor Dave Alexander. Gone WAY too soon.
Did anyone document the bass when it was for sale?
That would be killer. There isn't a bass in the world I'd rather own.

That's the picture I'm taliking about. I'm also glad the Mosrite got the full shot instead of being hidden behind the band.
While I'm here I'd like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and messages.
You guys are the best!
Bill.
