Johnny split stance

This is a little bit more dramatic pose, and the amps are more visible. Compared to later Ramones shows, Johnny sounded very twangy, and exploited the sound on his version of
'California Sun' in particular. Dig the flare pants. His shoes came untied early in the show, and stayed that way. Years later in the eighties when we opened for them, a roadie would scuttle out and tie his shoes while he played. Eventually he wore stretch sneakers. Try to imagine the instant shrieking feedback when he hit his on/off switch and DeeDee yelled "Wha-too-thee-foh!"

Wow, you'll no doubt have lots of interesting memories to share Frank, especially with Ramones fans whom I feel sure will have already saved the images you've posted thus far!

His hairstyle looks a bit like the guitar player for the Lovin' Spoonfull .....not John Sebastian, the other guy........thanks for the photo........
