I just found this on MySace. Check out the slide show of Gene Moles. Gene was a shop foreman at the Bakersfield Mosrite factory in the 60s. He was a session muscician for the Ventures having played on a couple of their albums, and a song writer with Nokie Edwards.
A lot of those old-timers in the photo's I have known, many are now gone. I've played on that TV show with Cousin Herb in the late 50s with some of those guy's. Seeing those photo's sure brought back some fond memories. darn, I'm getting old.

Yes, Gene Mole was a good friend of Nokie Edwards. Nokie once talked about the song he and Gene wrote together; "Sunny River" It is a very nice tune, although The Ventures never played it on stage nor recorded again..
I wished I had known Danny and visited Bakersfield a few years earlier, I could have met with Gene in person before he passed away.
