Ha! I haven't seen that one before, but it's one of the better song adaptions I've heard. Usually the lyrics are clumsy and the performance lacking, but these guys actually pull off the sound in addition to the lyrical shtick.
A shayner danke for sharing!

I actually prefer small frets. All my guitars have frets that make stock Fender frets look HUGE. I bend a lot (Mel, all those demos I sent you from Dec. 07 were done with the Mosrite and there's bends galore haha), and I never had any problems doing so with small frets. Every now and then I pick up an early 60s Jazzmaster at practice and it feels somehow less satisfying to play, both in terms of tone and comfort.

Zak,
Aren't you supposed to be argumentative? Seriously, I find myself with the same feelings when I pick up my 66 Jazzmaster or 03 Jaguar - it doesn't feel "right" anymore. I even strung up my Jazzmaster with roundwound 10s, but I still prefer the Mosrite.

Haha I guess you got used to having 10s on the Mosrite pretty fast too. That was initially my first concern - how much am I gonna have to mess with this thing to put huge flatwounds on it? ...but within a few days I found myself really enjoying the thin neck and slinky feel. The only thing I've been incapable of doing with the Mosrite is getting the "drip drip drip" palm-muted rhythm w/outboard tank that is so easy to coax out of a Jaguar or Jazzmaster. I've had to rethink all my reverb tank settings, none of the ones that worked with the Fenders seem to sound right with the Mosrite, I've got the dwell and mixer controls way lower than what I used to use before, and it still sounds like much too much sometimes. Still gonna use a Jazzmaster on a few of the things we'll be recording this winter, but at least half of it will be with the Mosrite (and Paul's two Mosrite basses haha...he also picked up a real clean '68 Yamaha SB5A which is the perfect blend of Mosrite and Jazz Bass).

Back "on topic" - I thought I'd add a few "Mosrite in action" shots of my own:

...and just for the heck of it, because I think it's a cool photo...

Here's one of us a week ago....what I find funny, is lately I'm getting caught
playing my '65 P.W. (Backup Mo') instead of my Main Guitar which is my '88
Sunburst Specially Made from Semie..oh well...
And Pauly, our Bass Player, is rippin on his....Funny thing with him, when he
got it, we haven't seen the '62 "P" Bass (yes, a real '62 ) or his Rick since.

Me saying to myself, "Now, where's that darn Chord!?!?!?
Again, on the P.W. with my favorite Amp, since I gave up M&Ms(Mesas and Marshalls).
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Great to see pictures of other Mosrites in action! As much as Mosrite guitars are underappreciated, I think Mosrite basses are even less well known. I wonder what percentage of them were two pickup vs one pickup models.

One more for the books, but this one will bring controversy.....
I always had thought the Ventures had quit playing Mosrites
during the year '67 after their fallout with Semie.....but......
