I'm pretty sure I hear hints of Ghost Riders..Magnificent 7 and Good Bad and Ugly in that theme....all the greats...

Yea, that Mosrite is a very appropriate choice. If anyone is responsible for choosing a blue sparkle Mark 1, it would most likely be the director of the picture, Gore Verbinski, who was a punk rock guitarist before turning to film. Verbinski also directed all 3 of the Pirates of the Caribbean pictures, and this is his first foray into animation.

I say it's a Ventures model, when I saw the movie you could see a squiggle at the top of the headstock...
