Ah, the classic car analogy!

Back in the sixties and early seventies I had a couple of Goats, a 442, a Charger, and a bunch of other great cars.

My favorite? A (gasp) '66 four-door Corvair! Took the back seat out and put a white Showman cabinet back there and ran my Arthur Fulmer 8-track through it and all was right with the world down in Naples, Florida.

Wow, FritzCat; what a great photo!!!

I used to love the feel of a GTO when idling at a red light. Such a powerful car.

My mom bought a '67 Riviera GS new and that was a fast car, but not in the muscular manner of a GTO with a Hurst/Muncie 4-speed transmission. No other car I ever had equaled that sense of power.

Fritz, you should get a Mosrite VIII to match your Goat!

Jim, I love the idea of a Showman cab in the back of a Corvair! Swingin and surfin!

Mel, what hip guitars!

Interesting thread. Thanks, all.

Now, it's off to pick the Mk I in Meshugga Beach Party tee and Lederhosen.

Ah, pre-spring in metro Chicago.
