BEWARE of 'STRINGY!'

Postby Dennisthe Menace » Tue Mar 01, 2011 11:50 am

This predates the Talk Box and the Harmonizer, but seriously folks, I need to warn you of the silly corny dialog B4 you watch it.........

Just one of many comments post below the vid......

'DO NOT WATCH THIS SOBER EITHER !! I close my eyes and all I see is Stringy!!....I can't sleep!! Stringy is everywhere....please make him leave me alone...God save me frome Stringy!!'

from wikipedia:
In 1939, Rey used a carbon throat microphone to modulate his electric guitar sound. The mike, developed for military
pilots, was worn by Rey's wife Luise, who stood behind a curtain and sang along with the guitar lines. The novel
combination was called "Singing Guitar," but was not developed any further. This innovation was the first known talk box experiment.

One can find "anything" on the internet.

Recovering from "Stringy," though, is going to take some time. The shock. The impact. At minimal a corn dog and a couple of shots of cheap tequila. And maybe a Dove bar. And there is this urge now, to take up trombone. Yeah, trombone, that's the ticket.

Anybody know of any good death metal books or recordings with trombone parts?

One of the exercises in the book is very popular called "Thrash Polka" Vol III..
