Yep, still have her. It's a reissue: "Classic 50s Series" made in Mexico. Actually the finish is Daphne Blue and the pups are rather standard but suitable enough for the stuff I play.
My new AVRI '57 Strat on the other hand definitely nails 'that early Fender sound' I so love and expect to come from an authentic vintage Strat. This AVRI '57 is equipped with unique '57/'62 pickups -reverse engineered from a coveted '63 vintage Strat. Mine’s a two colour Sunburst... too expensive of course but what the heck... :mrgreen:

Danny and others should hang on to their Vintage Strats! :geek:

Must have missed this thread.

Here's a shot of one of the bands I played with in 1962/64? That's a 62' Strat. We had a pretty big sound with the tenor and baritone sax. Shot at Talent Records, Hollywood, CA
