Porter Wagoner

Postby wombat » Wed Sep 08, 2010 7:23 am

I remember watching Porter Wagoner with my parents when I was a kid. I was waxing nostalgic today (as I often do), and found some nice Mosrite action on the Porter Wagoner show!

In the first video it looks like a Mosrite Combo to me. Thanks for posting the vids though, that brought back some nice memories!

They run this show over here on satellite ... except that the head office of the tv company in Nashville got flooded out a couple of months back, and they couldnt get the tapes out for a while.

But it's back now .. the Porter Waggoner show, shows on old tractor collecting, some stuff on Horse training ,and also a show where old country stars get together and chat and sing their songs backed by a house band...

It's not Mainstream nowadays , but I like it :-) We kinda got into tv late over here in the UK. Early days eh.

That would be the RFD network. I also watch that show. The guitar is a Combo and he also playes a Ventures model at times. His name is Buck Trent.

Jim

ps: I am back online but with dial-up. I bought a house and we don't have high speed of any kind here as yet.
