Amazing Discoveries made when your bored.

Postby vjf1968 » Sun Aug 15, 2010 1:55 pm

Ok, I was playing my Hallmark 60's Custom through my ZT Club a few days ago. Now the ZT Club is a little on the dark side tone wise, so I usually have the "bass" knob set close to off. Well, I eyed my Dan Armstrong Red Ranger and plugged that into the Hallmark and then made the other connections, set the gain and volume accordingly and as soon as I hit the toggle switch to "treble" it was  instant Nokie Edwards from The Ventures Live In Japan 1965.

How is the reverb on the ZT Club? I've only played the lunchboxes, which don't have a proper reverb on them. Is the 'verb on the Club more like a hall reverb, and can the effect get loud and tanky?

The "reverb" on the Lunchbox was later called "ambience". It was to replicate the resonence of a closed back amp.

The reverb on the Club is more like a ambient effect as opposed to a reverb on a Fender Twin. Your not going to get any kind of surf sound out of it. I use my Line 6 M9 for that.

Hey, just out of curiosity. What did you set your amp and guitar to? Like, what were the volume settings, tone, etc?

Reverb @ about noon.
Treble @ all the way up
Bass @ about 8:00
Volume @ 9
Gain @ noon

On the guitar I was on the rear pick up with tone and volume full on.

Like I said before, the Club 12 has a lot of bottom end.
