Was it really so good back then...?

In some ways, yes, for sure. Fashion seemed to have taken a "truly unique" turn for a while.

I don't know how I missed this thread! Very, very cool photos. In the Mosrite factory photo there is a lot of cool stuff going on worth talking about. It's very interesting that the two Gospels are quite different from each other. The one on the left does not have the "cross in the circle" part of the logo but the one on the right does. The one on the right has the two phase buttons, but the one on the left does not. I would love to know what year this picture was taken!

Any idea what the jig is behind David Smith? I see lots of clamps on it.

Those are great pics! I've got some shots of bands I was in back then (early-mid-'70's)--if T can figure out how to get them scanned into the computer, I'll try to post them (but don't hold your breath--I'm not exactly a computer whiz). I remember one outfit we had--maroon velour pullover shirts with huge collar points and big metal buttons, with white bell-bottom pants, burgundy patent-leather belts and matching shoes. I don't have pics of those--I think we only wore that outfit a couple of times as those shirts would roast you to death! One that I do have a pic of, we've got gray tweed suits, with belted big-collared jackets, black turtlenecks and black patent-leather shoes--our lead singer had the same suit, but with a white turtleneck and shoes. There's actually a Mosrite in that shot--our bass player had a Ventures Model bass. There's another shot from a few years later ('77) of a trio--our female bass player is wearing a sleeveless, backless pantsuit, and looks cool and comfortable, and the drummer and I are sweating in black leisure suits (with studs!) with white ruffled tux shirts. There's a lot that I miss about that era, especially all the full-time gigs, but I sure don't miss the clothes!
