the Count Five!!!

Postby pigihangeev » Wed Dec 16, 2009 11:09 am

Althought i have always been a Ventures fan and i also used to play some of their songs with my band (war of the satellites and third star to the left) I really became found of Mosrite when I saw the Count Five guitar player’s pictures in their record with his beautiful Joe Maphis model; since then I decided i had to look for it (or at least Mosrite Combo).

Oh yeah - COunt Five and 'Psycotic Reaction'! Pigi, I'm a big fan of garage rock - primarily the 1st wave of American garage rock bands like the Count 5, Music Machine, Syndicate of Sound, Shadows of Knight, etc. I'll have to check out your band's Myspace page when I can.

Hey Byron those bands are great, but also the most unknown ones you can find in great comps such as Back from the Grave Pebbles etc.
If you'll have a look at my bands myspace let me know what you think (but only if positive ;) )
Thanks

Love your band Pigi! great sounds! The May Queen has got to be one of the top 5 coolest guitars ever with "THE" greatest name. The Nuggets era bands are the best, a naiveté coupled with all the new technology of the time and then throw in the all the counter culture elements... made for a great era of music. The Nuggets comp was on the turntable when all the punks where talking about starting bands. I love The Third Bardo The Del-Vettes The Electric Prunes The Sparkels etc.
welcome to the forum also

Hey Brutus thanks a lot! Btw Nuggets comps are kind of Bible, you got good taste in music and great gear as well!
