TNM neck transplant in the spirit of Mosrite and Bigsby

Postby TerryTNM » Thu Jan 02, 2014 4:28 pm

Hey there. Its been a while since I posted anything. We moved last December from North Hills, Ca to the Nashville area. It took a while to get the new shop up and running but by July everything was ready to go. Have done a few projects including a Junior Brown type GuitSteel and just completed a a neck switcheroo with a Martin D28 and a custom TNM neck. Built in the style of the neck replacements done in the 50's by Semie Moseley and Paul Bigsby for people like Merle Travis, Rose Lee Maphis, Lorrie Collins, Little Jimmy Dickens and others. It features 50's type pickguards and a special inlays.

Wow Terry.
Beautiful work! How are you liking Nashville? A bit different than LA.
Have a great New Year!

Looks fantastic! Is that a scratch build? Looks like original parts from a Fender steel. I doubt Junior Browns is that nice. Even got the Junior Brown hat. ;)

The metal parts for the steel come from a Fender Stringmast 8 (as they do on Juniors) and the metal pickguard and switch plate and Tele neck were supplied by Buddy. The body, steel and guitar is scratch built. Didn't use the Fender steel body. Not adding this to my line. Just a one-off. It was fun and looks pretty convincing.
