New amp day!

Postby SanchoPansen » Sat Aug 31, 2013 10:06 am

Got this today. It's a 1977 Bandmaster Reverb. Everything seems stock. Might have a tech look at the caps and tubes.
The previous owner has cut the 2x12 cab into 2x 1x12. Interesting. Easier to carry ;-)

Congrats on the amp.

Sad about the cab, the 2-12 BM cab has a reputation for really being a fine, fine tuned box which got the most out of the speakers.

Enjoy.

Very cool amp. Speakers look like JBL dust caps. What kind of speakers are they?

JBL D120F. I just bought a VM Fender Bandmaster cab last week and put them in there yesterday.

The cab was easy to carry before I've put the speakers in there. Now it feels like carrying a fridge...

Casters, the word, "casters" comes to mind.

At the end of the "out" night, even a "light" amp feels like it's bolted to the floor....
