Lap Steel Project I'm About to Finish

Postby Luckyspur » Sat Mar 02, 2013 3:53 pm

Here is a cool little lap steel that I built for a fund raiser benefitting the Child Development Center of San Luis Obispo. The idea was to build something from found, reclaimed or reused materials. I used a 1970 Triumph 250 primary cover, scrap wood and garage junk drawer stuff to build the majority of it and the rest of the guitar parts came from previous projects. What do you guys think?

Beautiful workmanship! I envy all of you talented builders on this forum - If all in one geographic location, can you imagine the custom guitar company that could be formed? Great job.
